Baby summer clothes: keep them llooking stylish ,cute , cool and comfortable
Dressing a baby or toddler in Summer you need somegood basics and appropriate clothing so they can stay comfortable and protected.
Packing a day out with baby in summer takes some thought and planning. It's not always easy knowing how to dress the newest addition to your your family. Newborns can't regulate their temperature in the same way as older children and adults. Avoid exposing your baby to either too hot or too cold weather, and never have a baby under the age of 12 months in direct sunlight.
However, this doesn't mean you should stash them away indoors and be scared of the elements! When they're outside, simply keep them in the shade with a tent or shade cloth and pop on a lightweight summer hat to protect their head from sunlight. Preferably the hat will have a brim to cover the forehead and prevent little ears from getting sunburned.
Dress babies suit well to thin, loose-fitting cotton layers and stock up on short sleeved apparel.. Natural fibers like cotton and linen absorb moisture better than synthetic fibers, so are better for keeping them cool when it's warm and wicking away moisture if they sweat. If they do feel clammy, remove a layer. When the temperature tops 75 degrees Fahrenheit (about 24 degrees Celsius), a single layer should be enough for a small baby.
Remember, though, at night , avoid the layer up because you can't check their temperature. Babies dressed in too many layers of blankets or clothing are at higher risk for overheating and SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome).
To keep little feet shielded from the sun, slip on a pair of cotton socks. Babies who don't walk yet are likely to still be in a pushchair, so they don't need summer shoes, but their feet still need protection.
Protect their eyes from the sun with UV-protection sunglasses. You might not know this, but some clothes also have a UV-protection rating. UPF is the rating system used for apparel and gauges a fabric's effectiveness at filtering ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVC) light.
Toddler summer clothes: dressing active little people from 2-5 years of age
When the summer heat climbs, toddlers are at a greater risk of overheating and sun exposure than grown-ups. They're less likely to take much needed breaks from playing and keep hydrated, so make sure you always keep an eye on them and carry plenty of water.
There are lots of cute summer outfits for girls and boys you can try and we offer many afforable casual summer sets for this age group. Practical, durable clothes are most essential for these active little people. Dress them in light colors as dark colors absorb more heat, making them more likely to overheat. Keep them looking and feeling cool in a pair of shorts, a garment that’s perfect for both boys and girls.
Leggings are a versatile inclusion to a summer wardrobe that protect little legs from sun rays and knees from scuffs. They can also be worn under summer dresses or skirts if the temperature drops in the evening.
Choose garments with tight weaves to keep out as much sun as possible. If you're able to see through the material when placing your hand in the pocket, the material isn't providing enough protection.
There are few things cuter than a toddler in a pair of sunglasses. While it looks adorable, this essential summer accessory also protects their eyes from UV rays. A toddler summer hat remains a must-have item - look out for one with a brim that shades the face and the ears, which are particularly prone to getting sunburned. A wide-brimmed sun hat is ideal, although the strap should be no longer than six inches in order not to be a strangulation hazard. Cotton in a tight weave keeps them cool while offering good sun protection.
And of course, no toddler summer wardrobe is complete without a swimsuit. Rashguard sets provide good coverage and often come with a UPF rating for extra sun protection. Look out for garments with adequate protection whicm means a UPF of 15 or higher, which means that only 1/15th of the sun's rays will be able to pass through the material.
Sandals and sliders are essential kids' summer shoes. Choose flexible, closed-toe shoes with non-skid soles for younger toddlers to protect tiny toes. The shoes should be comfortable immediately without the need to break them in.
Dressing older kids and tweens
When your child is of an age that they are old enough to dress him or herself, let themfeel empowered and express their personality and creativity with summer prints or styles that appeal to them. Take them clothes shopping and have them pick out their favorite pieces - they might make some questionable choices at times. You can make this a fun bonding experience and nurture them becoming the person they're destined to be!
